LCC Pre/Post School Programs
After School Activities Club for school age children & teens:
Children & teens arrive at Linnton Community Center on school buses from Skyline Elementary, West Sylvan Middle School & Lincoln High School. This gives them a safe, supervised fun place to be after school while they wait for their folks to pick them up on their way home from work.
Children enjoy gym time, organized games, and time to visit with their friends.School busses open their doors directly in front of the community center. The children are then accompanied downstais to the gym. The children that walk directly home are supervised or escorted across St. Helens Rd. depending on their maturity level. This club includes Homework Team, a healthy snack & before school Breakfast Club. Children can attend every day or occasionally.
The teens sometimes just visit with friends, play basketball or gain community service experience by volunteering. There is no charge to middle school & high school students. Cost is 50.00 per month for elementary school children.

She helps kids with organizational skills, acts as a "homework mentor", helps kids pace long term assignments , contacts parents about impending long term projects if needed, searches through backpacks and finds those wadded up sheets of homework that should have been turned in.
